Mufti Saab,
What is the principal of dispatching interest money accumulated from a bank account? Hence a principal which can cover all ways of how to get rid of interest money
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, interest monies received from any individual, company or bank have to be returned to their rightful owners according to Shari’ah.[1] However, returning of interest amounts accrued in bank accounts to their owners via the banking system is not a viable and advisable option. As such, interest monies can only be disposed of by giving away to the poor without any intention of reward.[2]

(فيجب رد عين الربا لو قائما لا رد ضمانه لأنه يملك بالقبض قنية وبحر) يعني وإنما يجب رد ضمانه لو استهلكه، وفي التفريع خفاء، لأن المذكور قبله أن البيع الفاسد من جملة الربا، وإنما يظهر لو ذكر قبله أن الربا من جملة البيع الفاسد، لأن حكم البيع الفاسد أنه يملك بالقبض ويجب رده لو قائما ورد مثله أو قيمته لو مستهلكا

والسبيل في المعاصي ردها, و ذلك ههنا برد الماخوذ ان تمكن برده بان عرف صاحبه, و بالتصدق به ان لم يعرفه, ليصل اليه نفع ماله ان كان لا يصل اليه عين ماله.
