السلام علیکم
Please advise Masala regarding solar eclipse and a newborn baby..was told the baby and mum should avoid the sun at all costs.
There is one occurring tomorrow but it will not be visible in Zambia

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
An eclipse is a sign from Almighty Allah and an indication of His might. We should resort to making taubah and istighfaar at such a time.
There is no medical reason to avoid the sun. It is mere superstition to believe this.
