Question
Assalamualikum this convert had questions on this reddit post including these 2 youtube videos which he wants debunked so please explain with detail these as it would be much appreciated. Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Anyone who reads the noble seerah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam realises that racism was a trait that he detested in others too let alone himself. All false claims to the contrary are definitively rejected by the narration below which occurred during the farewell hajj wherein Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam addressed most probably the largest gathering of Muslims ever.[1]
عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ خُطْبَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَلَا إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، وَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، أَلَا لَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى عَجَمِيٍّ، وَلَا لِعَجَمِيٍّ عَلَى عَرَبِيٍّ، وَلَا أَحْمَرَ عَلَى أَسْوَدَ، وَلَا أَسْوَدَ عَلَى أَحْمَرَ، إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى
Translation: Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said during the days of Tashreeq (in the farewell hajj): O People, indeed your Lord is One. And indeed your father is one (Adam). Listen, there is no virtue of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor any virtue of a non-Arab over an Arab, nor a red-skinned person over a dark-skinned person, nor a dark-skinned person over a red-skinned person, except by virtue of Taqwa (piety).
The following verse of the Holy Quran clearly defines the criteria for success. Skin colour has no bearing on the matter.
يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ (الحجرات: 13)
Translation: O people, indeed, we have created you from a (single pair) male and female and we have made you into tribes and families so that you may recognize each other. Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious of you. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing and All-Informed.

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
23489 – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ خُطْبَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَقَالَ: ” يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَلَا إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، وَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، أَلَا لَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى عَجَمِيٍّ (1) ، وَلَا لِعَجَمِيٍّ عَلَى عَرَبِيٍّ، وَلَا أَحْمَرَ (2) عَلَى أَسْوَدَ، وَلَا أَسْوَدَ عَلَى أَحْمَرَ، إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى أَبَلَّغْتُ “، قَالُوا: بَلَّغَ رَسُولُ اللهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: ” أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟ “، قَالُوا: يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: ” أَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟ “، قَالُوا: شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ: ” أَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا؟ “، قَالُوا بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: ” فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ حَرَّمَ بَيْنَكُمْ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ ” ـ قَالَ: وَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَ: أَوْ أَعْرَاضَكُمْ، أَمْ لَا ـ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا أَبَلَّغْتُ “، قَالُوا: بَلَّغَ رَسُولُ اللهِ، قَالَ: ” لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ ” (3)
