Question
Hello
I have a question regarding divorce. I’m not exactly sure if I am divorced. I am a women and my husband never actually told me the words “you are divorced”. I have not seen him since November. I left him and he told me to leave and not come back. I have no relationship with him. I have not even spoken to him since November. I have not had sexual relations with him since September. I do not plan on going back to him, nor has he asked for me to come back. So, what I would like to know is if I am divorced or not. I do wish to remarry.
Also, I was never legally married. Me and my ex husband only married islamically at the mesjid in front of a sheikh.

It would be best to approach a local reliable scholar or Islamic organisation you trust fully and explain your situation directly to them. They will advise as to what is the way forward.
