Can women enter a masjid or ibadat khana during menses

Question
Are women on their menses allowed to enter the masjid and wait on one side?
And what about an ibadat khana or salah room for women, can women in menses enter?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is not permissible for women on their menses to enter a Shar’i masjid as it is against the sanctity of a masjid to enter it in the state of impurity.[1] A Shar’i masjid is one whose demarcated areas have officially been made waqf and turned into a masjid until the end of time. It is not permissible for women to enter this specifically demarcated area during her menses. She may enter the bathrooms, courtyard etc, however, she may not enter the demarcated masjid.[2] One should enquire from the trustees regarding these boundaries.
Ibadat Khana’s and Musalla’s will not hold the same ruling as a Shar’i masjid. However, since daily salah takes place therein, women in their menses should avoid entering the main prayer areas unnecessarily.

المحيط البرهاني في الفقه النعماني (1/ 217) [1]
ومنها: أن لا تدخل المسجد قال عليه السلام: «لا أحل المسجد لحائض ولا جنب» . ولأن ما بها من الأذى فوق الجنابة لتمكنها من إزالة أذى الجنابة دون أذى الحيض، ثم الجنابة تمنعها عن دخول المسجد فالحيض أولى
العناية شرح الهداية (1/ 164)
قال (والحيض يسقط عن الحائض الصلاة) هذا بيان أحكام الحيض. قال في النهاية وغيرها: إنها اثنا عشر: ثمانية يشترك فيها الحيض والنفاس وأربعة مختصة بالحيض دون النفاس، فأما الثمانية: فترك الصلاة لا إلى قضاء، وترك الصوم إلى قضاء، وحرمة الدخول في المسجد، وحرمة الطواف بالبيت، وحرمة قراءة القرآن، وحرمة مس المصحف بدون الغلاف، وحرمة جماعها، والثامن وجوب الغسل عند انقطاع الحيض والنفاس

وأما في جواز دخول الحائض فليس للفناء حكم المسجد فيه، وأما ما في شرح الزاهدي من أن سطح المسجد وظلة بابه في حكمه فليس على إطلاقه بل مقيد في الظلة بأنها حكمه في حق جواز الاقتداء لا في حرمة الدخول للجنب والحائض كما لا يخفى وقيد صاحب الدرر والغرر المنع من دخولهما المسجد بأن لا يكون عن ضرورة فقال وحرم على الجنب دخول المسجد ولو للعبور إلا لضرورة كأن يكون باب بيته إلى المسجد اهـ وهو حسن، وإن خالف إطلاق المشايخ وينبغي أن يقيد بكونه لا يمكنه تحويل بابه إلى غير المسجد وليس قادرا على السكنى في غيره كما لا يخفى وإلا لم تتحقق الضرورة،
