Unsure of dog saliva

Question
I was walking and a dog was sniffing the ground. It passed me but it got very close to me. now I am not sure whether it passed its saliva or not. I checked my self but there was no wetness on my shoes or pants near my ankles and neither did I feel any wetness.
should I ignore this issue?
