Question
Salams mufti
What is the ruling for qasr
Plz lemme know
Is it tht it has to me more then 3 days
Or less then 15 days
If u travel 1 day for more then 72 km are u a musafir?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
If one travels away from his home city towards a specific destination intending a distance of 48 miles or more, then one will be considered a musafir (traveller).[1] During this actual journey, the traveller will shorten the salah (Qasr).
Once at the destination, if the traveller intends to stay for less than 15 days, he will continue shortening the salah. if he intends to stay for 15 days or more, he will perform full salah.[2]

وأما بيان ما يصير به المقيم مسافرا: فالذي يصير المقيم به مسافرا نية مدة السفر والخروج من عمران المصر فلا بد من اعتبار ثلاثة أشياء: أحدها: مدة السفر وأقلها غير مقدر عند أصحاب الظواهر، وعند عامة العلماء مقدر، واختلفوا في التقدير قال أصحابنا: مسير ثلاثة أيام سير الإبل ومشي الأقدام وهو المذكور في ظاهر الروايات

قلت أَرَأَيْت إِن سَافر ثَلَاثَة أَيَّام فَصَاعِدا فَقدم الْمصر الَّذِي خرج إِلَيْهِ أيتم الصَّلَاة قَالَ إِن كَانَ يُرِيد أَن يُقيم فِيهِ خَمْسَة عشر يَوْمًا أتم الصَّلَاة وَإِن كَانَ لَا يدْرِي مَتى يخرج قصر الصَّلَاة قلت وَلم وَقت خَمْسَة عشر يَوْمًا قَالَ للأثر الَّذِي جَاءَ عَن عبد الله بن عمر رَضِي الله عَنْهُمَا

وَأَمَّا بَيَانُ مَا يَصِيرُ الْمُسَافِرُ بِهِ مُقِيمًا: فَالْمُسَافِرُ يَصِيرُ مُقِيمًا بِوُجُودِ الْإِقَامَةِ، وَالْإِقَامَةُ تَثْبُتُ بِأَرْبَعَةِ أَشْيَاءَ: أَحَدُهَا: صَرِيحُ نِيَّةِ الْإِقَامَةِ وَهُوَ أَنْ يَنْوِيَ الْإِقَامَةَ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا فِي مَكَان وَاحِدٍ صَالِحٍ لِلْإِقَامَةِ فَلَا بُدَّ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْيَاءَ: نِيَّةُ الْإِقَامَةِ وَنِيَّةُ مُدَّةِ الْإِقَامَةِ، وَاتِّحَادُ الْمَكَانِ، وَصَلَاحِيَتُهُ لِلْإِقَامَةِ.
