Question
Can a woman make tawaaf on her own without a mehram with her?
She will travel with a mehram but her mehram could be tired and not want to do more tawaafs or due to any other reasons he won’t manage to do more tawaafs. In this case can she make tawaafs on her own?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is advisable that a woman be accompanied by a Mahram during Tawaaf, however, if she performs it by herself, it will be valid. Therefore, if her Mahram is tired or unable to manage extra rounds, there is no prohibition in her proceeding alone to perform Tawaaf, provided she maintains proper Parda and avoids unnecessary intermingling.
