Praying salah behind someone who does not pray Jumu’ah

Question
السلام علیکم و رحمتہ اللہ وبرکاتہ
حضرت مفتی صاحب ،
اُمید کرتا ہوں کہ آپ خیر وعافیت سے ہوں گے ،
ایک لڑکا صبح سے شام تک اسکول جاتا ہے ، جس کی وجہ وہ جمعہ کی نماز نہیں پڑتا ہے، تو مسلسل جمعہ چھوڑنے کی وجہ سے کیا کو اسلام سے خارج ہو جائے گا ؟
اگر وہ تراویح پڑھائے تو اُس کی اقتداء کرنا کیسا ہے ؟
Translation:
A youth goes to school morning to evening because of which he is not able to perform Jumu’ah. He consistently leaves out Jumu’ah each week, does he leave the fold of Islam due to this? If he leads taraweeh, should we pray behind him?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is a major sin to intentionally leave out Salah. Leaving out multiple Jumu’ah in a row is something the Sahabah feared could be kufr.
One does not leave the fold of Islam due to missing Salah even if it is Jumu’ah. This is provided he knows that his actions are wrong. It is Makrooh Tahreemi to perform salah behind such a person.[1] The people responsible for the masjid are required to replace such an Imam otherwise they too shall be held accountable.

ومن ترك الصلاة معتمداً تبطل عدالته، ومعنى التعمد عدم استعظام التفويت كما يفعل العوامُّ، لا الاستخفاف بها، فإنه كفرٌ، وفي المنتقى: تارك الجمعة والجماعات مَجَانَةً واستخفافاً لا شهادة له، وإن على تأويل الهوى وكان عدلاً فيما سواه تقبلُ.
وترك الجمعة -ولو مرةً- بلا عذرٍ وتأويل مبطل على اختيار الحلواني، والسرخسيُّ شرَطَ الثلاثَ، ولو بفسقِ الإمام أو تمرض لا، كما في البزازية.
