السلام عليكم ورحمة الله و براكاته
Is it permissible to put up an advertisement in such a way
A person comments and predicts the World Cup final score on Facebook , and a winner is chosen based on who correctly predicted the score first, and is given a free product
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is inherently permissible as it is not gambling. It is discouraged because it indirectly advertises the world cup or any other events which are seldom void of Haram elements.
