Washing the eye in wudhu

Question

السلام علیکم و رحمة الله و بركة

Hope the Respected ulama are well and in good health

How does one ensure water reaches the inner portion of the eye in whudhu? Like the part close to the nose. We are supposed to wash only taht part right?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

When one normally washes the face, the part close and around the eyes is easily washed. This suffices. Caution is only needed when one wakes up from sleep and there is a possibility of residue on the eye corners. Then too, one simply needs to pass a finger over the area to remove the residue and moisten the area. There is no need to overthink the matter. That is waswasa from shaytan.
