Question
Assalamualaikum, In the early 2016, sitting with a friend I uttered the words that “have you seen the day of judgement?”. I realized the gravity of my blunder, I asked for forgiveness from Allah(s.w.t), and was punctual in prayers. Moreover, I may have recited Kalima, at that moment or later on, but I do not recall.
In early 2017, I did Nikkah and now I am in utter dilemma regarding following?
Whether I have to do tajdeed-e-Iman (Renewal of faith) and re-enter into Nikkah again?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Brother in Islam,
Your sensitivity towards the beliefs of Islaam is praiseworthy.
May the Almighty keep us all steadfast on Imaan. Aameen.
Be rest assured that your Imaan and Nikaah, both are valid. There is no need to renew your Nikaah.
We advise you not to ponder and build on these thoughts, as you will be aiding the Shaytaan in fulfilling his mission. Do not allow the whispers of Shaytaan to intimidate you.
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
