Sleeping naked with one’s spouse

Question
Is it allowed to sleep naked with your wife?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to sleep naked with one’s spouse.
However, Shariah has strongly emphasized on covering one’s self when having intimate relations with one’s spouse.
This is understood from the following Hadeeth:
عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَهْلَهُ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ وَلاَ يَتَجَرَّدْ تَجَرُّدَ الْعَيْرَيْنِ
Translation: “When anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, let him cover himself and not be naked liked donkeys.”
(Sunan Ibn-Majaah)
