Getting Tattoo of Ka’ba

Question
Assalamualaikum, I want to say that this question is not for me. A friend of mine is muslim but is not very religious. He has multiple tattoos and know they are haram, however, he wants to get a tattoo of the kaaba to signify hajj. I know this a controversial question, though if he believes himself that getting tattoos is fine, would it be an insult to get a kaaba as a tattoo? It means a lot to him and he wants to get it to help him remember his mother who’s dream was to perform hajj. His question pretty much is that if he’s fine with getting tattoos whilst they are haram, would getting one of a kaaba be even worse? Or would it be at the same haram level as getting any tattoo?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Almighty Allah and His Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam have cursed those who practice tattooing. Consider the following hadith.[1]
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لعن الله الواصلة والمستوصلة، والواشمة والمستوشمة
Translation: Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “Allah has cursed the one joins hair to his/her hair, and the one upon whom this is done. And Allah has cursed the tattooer and the one upon whom it is done.” (Bukhari-5933)
How can the curse of Allah and a depiction of the House of Allah ever come together? It is a mockery of deen to do so. Therefore, it is worse to tattoo the Ka’bah on ones body.
The individual in reference should try to remove even his existing tattoos.
