Does wife need to do ghusl after fingering her?

Question
Slmz. I would like to enquire whether ghusl will be fardh upon my wife after I pleasure her with my fingers i.e. penetrate her vagina with my fingers for pleasure (known as fingering). Please advise the ruling. JazakAllah
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Pleasuring one’s wife by inserting the finger does not necessitate ghusl.
However, if the wife reached climax and semen had been emitted, then ghusl will become necessary.[1]
