Question

Is it allowed to keep snapchat bitmoji

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Snapchat bitmoji are animated graphical replicas of the individual and will therefore be equivalent to digital photography.

There are academic differences of opinions amongst contemporary Ulama and Muftis regarding digital photography.

The most cautious position is to avoid them, especially since one can easily do without them.
