Question

I am Bangladeshi. I am studying at a college at grade 12. I was born in 2005 but my parents input wrong date of birth. They wrote my date of birth at 2007 by willingly. I also knew this thing since i was in class 5. Now, after few month i will go to Europe for study. Also if it is possible to be a citizen of an European country i will apply for that. Beside i will try to apply for Malaysian citizen. But the problem appears at my birth day date. As i will be applying to europe and Malaysia for study, for citizenship , for working i will be lying them forcely as my birth day date in the certificate is 2007 whereas i was born in 2005. Even after i die my children will be lying this that my father was born in 2007 not 2005 as it is in the certificate. Now in Bangladesh, as far as i know i can change the date of birth but it is quite hard. It may take long processing time. Also i may not be able to study europe as all my certificates are required to be modified. Now, i want to know what should i do. I really want to study abroad soon. Will it be permissible for me to study abroad not changing my date of birth?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is not obligatory on you to change the birth date on all relevant documents.
