Question
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Shaykh what is the ruling on decorating our houses a little for Ramadhan and Eid etc? It usually includes banners, posters, some balloons and the like.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to do so provided there is neither extravagance (Israaf) nor imitation of non-Muslim festival decorations.
