Using baking paper

Question

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I have a question regarding using baking/ parchment paper
It it permissible to use it while cooking or baking or is it impermissible because it may have other chemicals or impure substance in the paper or in the process of making of the paper?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Baking parchment/paper is made of cellulose (vegetable fibre). It can be coated with silicone or sometimes paraffin wax.[1]

It is pure and permissible to use.
