Getting ears pierced

Question

Assalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.

Mufti sahib a question from a sister:

We are baaligh women, and our ears are not pierced yet. Now we wish to have our ears pierced, but we cannot find a single lady to do it for us. In this situation, can we get our ears pierced by a male?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Piercing the ears is not something that requires a professional to carry out. It is possible to do it at home with a few women using piercing kits and following all safety instructions.
