Are the laws in Afghan a bit too much for women?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The Afghan people have introduced laws that take into consideration their own cultural norms as well as the laws of Shari’ah. It is unfortunate that we have begun to impose on them trends and norms that were inculcated into us by the west when they colonised us. Now we consider the western values to be better than our own traditional and religious norms. It is a sad state of affairs.
