Question
i was reading a comment in a social media platform saying something like ” you can have what ever your heart desires in jannah” and at the end it said inshallah and i accidentally said inshallah to it. you are not supposed to say inshallah when wanting jannah.
so does this affect my duas in any way? i did not intend to say inshallah.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, when making dua, one should have conviction that the Dua will be accepted by Allah. Saying Insha-Allah negates that conviction. However, saying it unintentionally or as a slip of the tongue is not a problem.
