Question
Assalamu Alaykum.
My question is that during ghusl, while standing under the shower, how does one wash the anus without fearing or feeling that water entered the anus?
I always feel that water entered the anus during ghusl (i can feel bubbles inside my stomach when i wash that area and then I always have to do wudu after ghusl. This wastes water and time and I have missed lots of prayers due to this.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Practically speaking, the chances of water entering the anus when washing it normally are nearly impossible. This appears to be an issue arising due to waswasa in the mind.
The easiest solution for you is to do istinjaa on the toilet as you would usually do and thereafter take a ghusl wherein you shall no longer wash your anus.
The best cure for waswasa is to ignore it and carry on with one’s life with easier solutions. You may refer to the link below regarding combating waswasa.
