Nikah and walima on the same day

Question
As Salaam Mu alaikum moulana,
What is the ruling on keeping nikkah and walima on the same day?
Is it possible and if yes, are there conditions.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Walimah is sunnah and it is to be done after the nikah is conducted.[1] It can be done on any day within three days of the nikah to fulfill the sunnah. Therefore, it is equally valid if done on the same day as the nikah.

مسنون ولیمہ میاں بیوی کے ملنے کے بعد ہے۔ کیونکہ اس کا اصل مقصد ایک حلال وجائز تعلق کا اعلان واظہار ہے۔جس رات بیوی کے ساتھ خلوت ہو اس دن یا اگلے دن ولیمہ کرلینا چاہئے، نیز تیسرے دن تک مّؤخر کرنے کی بھی گنجائش ہے۔ لیکن تیسرے دن سے زیادہ تاخیر درست نہیں ہے۔
