Question
I would like to ask if sudo cream is classified under non penetrative creams hen it comes to wudhu. As it has a waxy texture, that is hard to remove and it is meant to repel moisture
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Sudo Cream (Sudocrem) is designed to block water and other liquids from reaching the skin thereby reducing the chances of irritation.[1]
Accordingly, if it is applied to a part of the body that requires washing for either wudhu or ghusl, one must ensure that it is removed or atleast water definitely reaches the area below.
Note: Children are not bound by these laws. There is no problem in applying sudocrem to children when needed.
