Three Divorces without the Intention of divorce

Question

Assalamualaikum,

I had been in argument with my wife and we had been arguing with each other for a couple days and on one of the days I sent the message of divorce three times as a way of teaching her a lesson , I had no intention of divorcing her , please help me answer this and please tell me what we can do to make Allah forgive me for this massive sin

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If you sent a message of divorce to her three times then three divorces have occurred.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
