Question
There are apps one phones u can use to bypass some internet settings on sim cards. And then u can have unlimited internet without paying for it.
Does this count as stealing? Definitely post this as many people use this “hack” Using a VPN to bypass some simcard settings and getting unlimited internet.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Services provided by internet and phone companies are payable regardless of how expensive they may be. If one finds such services to be beyond his budget, then he should not utilise them.
Bypassing settings in order to utilise such services free of charge or paying less than the required amount will be considered dishonesty and theft. [i]
