Placing finger in the Qabr after burial

Question
Assalaamualaikum, my question is after tadhfeen of mayyat in the qabar, & covering the whole with mud, is it authentic to recite awwal & aakhir ruku of surah bakr by inserting the tip of index finger at the both sides up side & down side of qabar.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
After the burial, it is desirable(mustahab) to recite the opening verses of Surah Al-Baqarah up to المفلحون by the head side of the deceased, and the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah by the feet of the deceased.
However, the practice of placing the tip of the index finger in the sand whilst reciting the verses has no basis. Such practices should be discarded. [1]

وكان ابن عمر يستحب أن يقرأ على القبر بعد الدفن أول سورة البقرة وخاتمتها
حاشية الطحطاوي على مراقي الفلاح شرح نور الإيضاح (ص: 621)
وفي السراج ويستحب أن يقرأ على القبر بعد الدفن أول سورة البقرة وخاتمتها اهـ قوله: “من دخل” ظاهره أن الثواب المذكور لا يحصل إلا لمن دخل المقبرة وقرأ السورة فيها قوله: “ورفعه” أي العذاب لعل الواو بمعنى أو
