Question
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarkataho
How much share will a married daughter get in Father’s property (after death) if she is the only daughter of her parents?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The laws of inheritance and succession are by divine order. We have no choice in the matter. We have to execute the laws of inheritance and succession exactly as Almighty Allah wants it to be executed.
The daughter will inherit the following shares, whether she is married or unmarried.

If two or more daughters: |
Two thirds of the estate to be shared equally. |
If only one daughter, and no sons: |
Half of the estate. |
In the presence of a son: |
Son and daughter will inherit in the ratio 2:1 I.e. Daughter will inherit one share |
