Question
Asww, is it permissible to bath in sunnah i’tikaaf?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A person performing sunnah I’tikaaf cannot exit the masjid boundary specifically for a shower. However, when he does exit to relieve himself, he may take a quick shower and intend wudhu whilst doing so.[1]
One should simply pour water over himself with the niyyah of wudhu, and ensure that no more than approximately 3 minutes is spent doing so, as that is the average time in which one can make wudhu.
