Question
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Will my Fajr Salah (Fard) be accepted if I finish praying just before the sunrise time? (Like maybe 30 seconds before)
For example the sunrise time is given at 5:51am. When I finished my Salah and made Salaam, I instantly checked the time and it was 5:50am. Will this Salah be valid? Will I have to repeat my Salah?
جزاك الله خيرًا
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The time for fajr salah ends exactly as the sun rises above the horizon.[1]
If that time was 5:51am and you finished your salah before that, you have completed your prayer in its time. You do not need to repeat it.
It goes without saying that precaution must be taken to avoid doing so in the future.
