Question
Asalamualaikum
If one has many invalidated fasts does 1 qadha fast fill in for all of them or a person has to keep the total amount of fasts that have been invalidated
Note: the fasts that were invalidated were such that a qadha fast was to be kept not kaffarah
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Every fast of Ramadhan that is either broken or not kept must be made Qadha of.[1]
Example: If an individual did not fast for 3 days of Ramdhan, and broke another 3 fasts of Ramdhan, he must make qadha of 6 fasts in total.
The above is based on the assumption that kaffarah was not necessary for the broken fasts.
