Question
Assalamualaikum ww
I would like to know the ruling
Regarding reading of tasbeeh like making silent zikr
Whilst sitting in a deen gathering like talim or bayan programme?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, there is no prohibition of making Dhikr or reciting Tasbeeh whilst listening to an Islamic Talk or Taleem.
However, for one to derive maximum benefit from the talk or Taleem, it is advisable to suspend all other actions and listen attentively.[1]
