Question
Asalamu alykum,
I’m 18 and I would like to ask about studying at the Islamic University of Madinah, I would like to go there InshaAllah. Do I need to study anything before going there, if so- please advise what I need to study before going there, and any other information regarding it. request for duas

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Respected brother,
We commend you on your zeal and enthusiasm to study Islamic studies especially at your age.
We understand that you are based in the United Kingdom. Our advice would be to select an institute in the UK where you can study from.
Unfortunately, in the recent past, Madina University has seen a rise in methods of teaching where the adherence to the four madhabs is challenged and is often criticised. Furthermore, the aqeedah that is taught there does not align with the understanding of the unanimously accepted works of the Ash’ari and Maturidi schools on the subject.
We therefore urge you to seek a safer institute within the UK.
You may let us know where you are based and we shall gladly assist in whichever way we can.
