Trimming hair under the lip

Question
Aslmww hope all are well. What is the ruling of cutting/trimming the hair just under the bottom lip?(soul patch) jazakallah khayran
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The hair below the lower lip is part of the beard and hence cannot be trimmed or shaved.[1]
However, if it grows in such a way that it becomes uncomfortable, such that it grows upwards towards the mouth, then it is permissible to trim it slightly to remove the inconvenience.
